Her long blonde hair streamed behind her, her long blue skirt flowed in the now created wind. The lush emerald forest reached out for her trying to stop her and make it easier for him Her face scratched her bodice torn the laces falling out had unraveled. A tree grabbed at her skirts the sound of a tear entered his ears. There she was his pray no more than twenty feet away. He lunged forward as the she bent quickly to untangle her skirts from the bush. She started to run. He landed with a thunk just in front of her sought out path. “You can't run anymore. Can you?" He teased in a husky baritone voice. The blood of her pale through met his smooth lips in a torrent of crimson heat. The thirst he had so long denied was quenched. Once he had drained her he threw her thin limp body aside into a tree. He wiped his hands on his long black pants and turned his head to the east his pale blue eyes sparked like diamonds in the mid day sun. The moon hung high over head and a wolf howled near by.
She was reported missing a few days later to the king’s army. Three months later they found her body free of decay and disease. Completely drained of blood, was her body, but never the less still perfect. A knight brought the body back to the castle on the back of is horse. He left the body in the stables with the horses, until the next day when she would be buried in the churches cemetery. The next morning the night awoke and went to retrieve the body. The horses were missing and so was the body. The knight searched all the stalls nothing, but a large pile of dust was left in each of them. There were only twelve piles of dust. Not a single one less or more than the number of horses that were in the stables last night. What had happened?
