Torture.
Even the thought of it sent shivers through her spine, setting a grin upon her beautiful face. The smile lit up her blood red eyes, the color of the one thing she couldn't - and didn't want to - resist craving. Curls of caramel flew down to her shoulders, a few stray strands toying with her and reaching for her face. Her lips were dyed red from her food and they stood out upon her flawless skin. Her pale face seemed to shine lightly in the little sun that shone through the thin curtain of cloud blocking it from view, despite a few rays dripping out in an un-earthly way. If the sun had been brighter, she may have kept inside, but one part of her doubted it - she would always look for trouble and she doubted that the Volturi would care. Not after what she was to Caius. What she had been.
That was one thing that she would never forget, how she had turned down his hand and had risked her life there forever. Not that they had wanted rid of her, no, that would never be what they wanted. They were all one part of her big, not quite happy, family, all part of her life, all part of the one thing she didn't want to lose. But she had let go of them, and it seemed that she was too late to find them again. Maybe it was for the best. She knew that if she returned she would have to rip Antheadora into tiny little bite sized shreds and then throw her into an open fire. What she would give to see her skin burning in the flames of blood, to hear her cries for help. It would be far more pleasurable than that of her other victims.
The path stretched out in front of her, forking out at certain points. Crossroads, the story of her life. Left or right, yes or no, wrong or right. Life could never be right again, not now that she had become what she was. She did love what she had become, but it would never let her take her life to the dreadful that it had been before. For better or for worse. Another crossroad taken when she became a - the word formed on her dark lips...
Vampire.
Her bare feet paced along the road, towards another crossroad, another choice. Just around the corner... She didn't know what would be along the other side of the road, through the turn. Was she to take the left, or the right? Or was she just to carry along the straight? The tention rose, her body came closer, her feet stretched more. She toed the line between yes and no, wrong and right, left and right. All her crossroads. Her blood red eyes pulled in the land out through the straight as she decided.
She took the left.

Just one step closer.. x.That was all Leo could think as the heavenly aroma that filled the tunnle, one he knew was a vampires. He was on another mission for the Volturi. He was so obviously the one who did the more lethal work, and as the vampire approached, her long, red hair hanging limply, he snapped her neck in the middle of the pitch black tunnel, smiling as he took the head from her body, the rest trying to fight back.
x.As he sent thoughts to the head, not allowing anything to return, he grinned, taking the pieces apart in an agonizingly slow manor, and flicking a match lit, tossing it over to the pieces. Turning to walk from the flames, he entered the paved-over roads, gravle covering every inch. The cloudy over-cast was somewhat pleasurable, though it wouldn't have stopped him.
x.If he needed to, Leo could control more than half the vampire realm easily. He could drive them insane, insane enough to bow to him, insane enough to even go as far as killing themselves. The fact that his power was so strong that it could even cause someone so much tragidy that their powers would give out for the moment of golden weakness was enough of a booster to make him cocky and devious.
x.Wait.
x.Looking to the left of him, he could see how the road he was standing on went on farther, and the vivid smell of vampire that he had just recently took in showed itself in all it's glory, and his eyebrow raised in a simple manor, the smell rimming more than a few memories of Volterra, or the Volturi. He turned full on to look at the being that ran down the road, legs pumping dinamically with their arms, hair flaring about in a way that said it was a female vampire.
x."Hello." he said, knowing the vampire could hear him from even miles away. Sure, he could have done so telepahtically, but he still liked to talk every now and then, keep up the apperance at least, no matter how many times he'd walked into a public place with his skin sparkling with a white hot intensity of a thousand diamonds, all lacing the outer edge of his skin. He stood completely still, waiting for a reply. [/blockquote]

If her heart could beat...
She heard the footsteps before the words, the breate before the movement and felt the power surging from the vampire that stood just before her. His blonde hair hung do his neck, streaked with sections of brown that gave it more depth than plain blonde would. Whether or not the streaks were natural, Lutie knew not. Even from this distance, she could see that he was far taller than her. On average, he seemed around seven foot, but Lutie had never been good at estimating. She preffered to find out the answer than guess.
Guessing wasn't good. In her eyes, guessing was like signing your own death note. If you guessed, you didn't know the right answer, could do something terribly wrong. All those years with the Volturi had taught her this; guess and die. She had already gone through that process and didn't want it to happen again - although she had been tortured several times. That was different.
Being tortured was almost as pleasant as feeling Alec's power. To feel such a power would make you wish that you were dead, that they could just kill you rather than keep you alive. Besides, why hold the life of someone who you hated but weren't going to kill? Lutie never did that. Except she did torture people. It was her way of life, her way of food. Without torture, she wouldn't be able to survive. What else were blood thirsty vampires supposed to do, ask for permission to drink their blood? Not very likely.
The light breeze pulling at her hair caught something new, something it believed that Lutie should know of.
His scent.
As soon as the smell hit her nose, Lutie recoiled slightly. Surely he couldn't be here for her. Surely it was just coincidence. But there was that nagging in the back of her head that told her it was no coincidence. They new her power and just how stubborn she was, so why not send the tallest member to catch little Lutie. The tallest member who just happened to be radiating so much power that it was almost visible. God, this guy could almost be as good as him, if not better.
The memories of them flashed back far more vividly now that she had their smell in her nose. Memories of love, war, death, hate, family, gatherings and powers so great that they hurt her head even now to think about them. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't think about them, but now it actuall hurt her inside, close to her heart that no longer beat. If her heart could beat, it would probably be breaking slowly. He had their smell.
The Volturi.
Looking back to the boy who, even from this distance, she saw had blood red eyes just like her. Lucky for him, else he wouldn't be alive for a moment longer. She hated vegetarians. They smelt funny. Playfully, Lutie cocked her head to the left, as though eying him up. She didn't know his power, but she could take him on despite his size. Besides, they had always said her power was like nothing that they had ever seen. The power to control.
"Do you really want to die so much as to follow their orders to get me?" Lutie asked, her voice innocent but still dripping with poison. "Because I'm not going anywhere."

"Are You Kidding Me?" x."Why in the hell would I go try and stop you? The Volturi can't exactly make me do anything." he said iratably. That wasn't anything he'd planned on doing, and now that he realised who this was, it was obvious why she, of all people, would ask such a thing. After all, when running from the Volturi, they always find you.
x.Well, that's what they wanted you to believe. Leo'd never had to run from the Volturi, but he knew that if it was he in her position, he wouldn't ever be caught. The tracker that he was, and the fact his power could manipulate your thoughts was in his favor. With a simple flick of his wrist he could so easily make you think he had very well just fallen off the face of the Earth. He raising an eyebrow at the girl, to whom he called Pravus. Leo didn't care what was prefered by any means, your name was your name. Of course, he still didn't keep up with the name Leonardo, but that was a different story; one with reason.
x.Never did he tell the tale that hit so close to home, no matter how simple it was. Leonardo was his fathers name, he'd only found out a few years ago. He'd gone by Leonardo many times before that, but after learning such a fact, that the man who'd abandoned him all those years ago harbored the same name, he refused to be recognized by that name, but not having enough strength to go by his middle name, Lucifer, no matter how well it fit; so, he shortened it - to just, Leo.
x.Snapping his attention back to the bruenette girl who stood in front of him, he stood his ground, not going to back down. He would not be, weak in anothers eyes, no matter how much he thought the word to describe him. After all, it was he who'd killed so many others, taken so many lives from both humans and vampire; it was he who'd struck fear in others eyes so many countless times. He couldn't be perceived as weak, just couldn't.
x.Of course, whether this vampire thought he was weak was beyond him. And no matter how much he wanted to make this vampire think they were so afraid or some great power, he held back. You never, ever, did as such to a vampire without knowing their's first, or if they even had one; drastic measures excluded. If there wasn't an absolute need for something, you should never act on a whim. That's what he'd learned over all his years of killing vampires who chose to do just that - act on a whim and try to fight. There really wasn't a point in trying to fight Leo, he won practically every fight that contained him in any way.
x."What's it to you what my intentions are any how?" he asked, raising his eyebrow once more, a smirk playing on his lips. He wanted to say how she could never fight him off, how nothing would stop him, even if he didn't know what exactly the small girl that he towered over's power was. There weren't too many powers that could fight his. He could practically make her walk into a burning building whenever he wanted. Make your thoughts hers, let the artificial wants and needs fill her head.. the voice in his head screamed.
x.Corrupt her mind, it screamed out again, tempting him in every way. He was sure that if he still could, persperation would have been sliding down his face, and finally, he screamed back. Silence! he yelled in his head to the maniacle little being that lived there in contentment. Bringing himself to stand straight, looking down at the girl, Leo let his arms dangle at his sides, and stared her down with bright, crimson eyes.

Like the Kiss of Death Lutie's crimson eyes thinned, reaching the point where they seemed to be nothing more than threatening slits. The increase in light as the clouds had slowly disappeared caused Lutie's pure skin to shimmer softly, only just noticeable to human eyes. Lutie's skin had always been different to all other vampires, or so Aro had once told her. Her skin seemed to shimmer more beautifully, more perfectly. Aro seemed to think that it had been one of the things that had attracted Caius. Lutie knew that it was the sheer power that she held. Caius couldn't care less if she was an angel, that was just an advantage. Instead of hiding from the rays, Lutie drew in an useless breathe and allowed her shining beauty to show. After all, he was just another vampire.
She didn't bother to try to draw herself up to a taller height, it didn't bother her that the stranger was towering over her petite form.To be honest, the height difference made her feel as though she had the advantage. If she was small, she was bound to be faster. And indeed she was. Lutie could beat any other vampire she tried and all those she had would have ended up tired if there was such thing as sleep for her species. That was the one thing she didn't miss. Lutie had always hated the tiredness she felt. It felt as though it was limiting her, stopping her from doing what she had to. But even then Lutie wouldn't give up.
Ever.
As soon as his voice entered her mind, Lutie was mystified by the sheer power he held. So alike to hers yet so strong. No wonder they liked him. For a few moments, Lutie had almost been captured by his power, had almost quit her speech under his command. Until her instincts kicked back, forcing her power as a reflective shield. She tensed, built up her words and then threw them towards him, throwing his power off her at the same time. As soon as the command released itself, Lutie felt light, as though she had just had a large weight taken out of her struggling grasp. She hoped he would recieve her reply, the snarl of words she had sent back.
Never under the command of Leonardo Washington.
She knew his name. The head betrayed you in so many ways, too many to imagine. And now she had taken the name that he dreaded. To continue up her words, Lutie opened her lips and sent a low snarl towards him - heard only by the ears of vampires. She knew that the name was like the Kiss If Death - sweet but lethal - and she prepared herself for his attack. His crimson irises flamed with hatred. x.Staring at the girl who stood in front of him, Leo couldn't help the piercing glare that shot from his eyes to hers, baring his teeth. No one dared call him that, lest they wished to die. Eyes narrowing to slits, his legs automatically prepared themselves for his lunge. A low growl ripped out from his teeth, imitating hers as he sprang for attack, an action that would almost surely send the both of them to the ground when contact was made. He was known for what he did, and that was making life hell; and be damned if he wasn't going to do just that with her.
x.As he fought her, Leo sent her images that would give humans heart attacks, things so gruesome and vile that it could make even a vampire sick to their stomach. Moving to press his teeth into her neck and rip out a piece, he snarled once more. "You do not call me by that name, Pravus." he said in a strangled voice, barely withholding his anger. (ick. suck.)
