:)Jessica walked into her favorite coffee shop in town, Starbucks and walked quickly up to the sign that said "Order Here". "Hi" She said and hesitantly looked up at the menu on the wall. "What would you like Miss?" The employee asked her. Jessica Looked down from the menu and gave her a 'Be patient!' Look of annoyance. Two minutes later she decided on a holiday drink, "The Peppermint Mocha Twist" She ordered. "Fine." The Employee said, angered by Jessica's demanding tone. Jessica rolled her eyes and glanced at the door when the bell rang showing that someone had entered. The girl walking in was undeniably beautiful, with shocking blood red eyes and extremely pale skin, this immediately made her think of the Cullens, could they be related? The girl was wearing lime green skinny jeans and a black blouse. Jessica tryed to turn her attention away from her but failed. She walked over to the soft leather couch by the window and glared curiously at the girl, forgetting about her coffee.

As she walked in the door, Gianna noticed all the glances, then second glances, and a few third glances towards her. Would she ever get used to it? No, she probably wouldn't. A pretty human girl stared at her as she walked in. Maybe I should talk to her, Gianna thought. When the girl sat on the sofa, Gianna sat next to her, holding her breath. "Hi, I'm Gianna."

To Jessica's surprise the girl sat next to her and introduced herself. Jessica was confused by Gianna's kindness, she would have thought someone "like her" wouldn't be outgoing but, to herself and shy. Jessica loved someone to talk to, as she enjoyed talking greatly! "Hey, I'm Jessica" She said in a matter of fact way, as if this stranger should have known her name. She looked at the girl and the thought finally crossed her mind. "Aren't you going to get something to drink?" She questioned curiously, Gianna, as she would now refer to her as had come into the Coffee shop and not ordered anything. Usually something like this, Jessica wouldn't think of, but today she was quite observant.

"No, I'm not really thirsty today, I just came here to enjoy my surroundings." Jessica probably thought she was a weirdo, but, a lot of people did. What did it matter to her? It didn't. "What did you order?" She asked, not really interested, but hoping for something to talk about. Most humans were so boring to her now, and it made her wonder if, when she was a human, would have been boring to a vampire as well? It was a possibility, she didn't know how typical her life story was, but it definitely was a different one.

Jessica looked at her in an unshocked way when she told her that she wasn't getting anything, she tried to act as if it were normal, she couldn't care less what she got anyway, what would it matter? "I got the Peppermint Mocha Twist" Jessica answered Gianna's question and reminded herself at the same time that she had forgotten to pick it up. "One sec!" Jessica added, happily skipping over to the "Pick up here" counter to retrieve her coffee, the sweet minty aroma filled the air and she walked back to the couch. Jessica folded her leg over the other and tried to sit in a lady like position. "Are you excited for the holidays coming up?" Jessica asked attempting to start a conversation, as she always did with people she didn't know.

"Yeah, I guess." She replied blandly. She really wasn't too excited for the holidays, now that she had to spend them in the forest with her sister until she could control her blood lust. Without her mom. like she had done the first 9 years of her life, parentless, with a bunch of stupid, whiny kids who never appreciated anything. The kids in the foster homes should be thankful their parents didn't drop them on the sidewalk for someone to find. "Are you excited for the holidays?"

Gianna's response wasn't really the kind of response she was waiting for, she had been waiting for something along the lines of her explaining what she always did and going into a story about her holiday tradition, but Gianna's expression was no where near an interested look. "I'm SO excited, I have major preparation to do, as a matter of fact I'm in Port Angeles today Christmas shopping!" Jessica made herself look deeply interested in the conversation she was directing to make up for the bland look on Gianna's face. "So tell me, is your family visiting? If so, where from?" She added cheerily.

"Oh, I don't have family, not anymore..." Gianna said sadly. "Well, none that are actually related to me. Me and my sorta sister are spending Christmas together." This was starting to be a deeply depressing topic. Who would have thought Christmas would be saddening? "Do you have any family visiting?" Gianna questioned, trying to look interested.

"Oh" :-/Jessica said, trying to give off a sentimental look. "Sorry, I didn't" She stopped and decided to answer her other question "I'm having a holiday party!" She said and immediately regretted informing her. "Sorry, this may seem irrelevant but how old are you?"

"15." Gianna replied. This girl had to be about 18, so she probably felt like a loser talking to a homeless 15 year old. But whatever, she thought. Let her think what she thinks, it didn't matter to her. "How old are you?" she questioned, even though she was uninterested.

15??! She thought, she would have at least guessed Gianna was around 18. "I'm 22" She said and giggled. The fact that the wise sounding girl was 15 shocked her, the alone fact that she looked around 18, plus the fact about how she acted sounded as if she were much older!

"Yeah, 15. But I know people think I'm older, because I act all mature. But I seriously am 15." She smiled kindly. Hah, Gianna thought. This talkative girl was actually 22? How strange, she seemed so immature. People in Seattle were strange.

"Yeah..." She smiled apprehensively waiting for something dramatic to happen. She finished up her Mocha Twist and started to get up to throw it away. "Im done"Jessica said, she smiled and stood, threw away her cup and walked over to the shelves of mugs, wondering if she could get any presents here. She looked back at Gianna and felt uncomfortable in a way, she felt as if this girl was secretive, and it made Jessica feel unsafe. She looked down at her babyblue watch and realized her shift started in 10 minutes. She walked back to Gianna and said "Are you sure you don't want anything?" She figured she might as well start early, maybe her boss would give her a bonus in money!

Gianna smiled warmly, "No, I'm good." She felt thirsty. If only Scarlet was around. But that was a different story. "Thanks for asking, though." She reached over to the table and grabbed a magazine. She borely flipped through the pages, not interested in anything anymore.

"Okay" Jessica looked back at Gianna and stepped behind the counter deciding to take her shift. "Well, bye Gianna" She muttered and pulled her disshelved green apron out of the drawer.
